HAREKETLİLİKLERDEN EDİNİLEN DENEYİM VE İZLENİMLER ( EXPERIENCES AND IMPRESSIONS ELICITED FROM OUR MOBILITIES )

  I took part in a mobility programme to Bulgaria as part of the Erasmus project. After our journey, we first arrived in the capital, Sofia, and visited some of the city’s historic sites. The following day, we travelled on to Veliko Tarnovo. There, we met other groups from Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. We played a treasure hunt in groups and completed various tasks. This allowed us not only to bond but also to learn about some of the region’s historical and cultural elements. Veliko Tarnovo was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen.  Over the following days, at the host school, we learnt about their history, Bulgarian language, culture, folk dances and songs. We made new friends. we learned to make a bulgarian pastry together. We discussed the potential impact of environmental policies on the future of the world and made presentations on the topic. Observations and research conducted in the last 30 years have revealed that our world is warming unexpectedly. Between February 2023 and January 2024, the global temperature increase exceeded the critical threshold of 1.5 degrees C for the first time. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is the most serious scientific authority in detecting the situation of global climate change, determining the measures that can be taken to stop this change and adapt  to it, summarized the climate change situation in three words in its assessment report published in March 2022: widespread, rapid and intensifying. According to the report, it is predicted that the choices and actions we will make in the current 10 years will affect us for thousands of years.
